ear pressure/hearling loss

ear pressure/hearling loss

About 5 years ago i got horrible idea to listen to loud music while i had an infection in my left ear. Ever since then whenever i listen to music, or go to a movie theater, that ear always feels pressure no matter how many times i pop it. I also notice it is slightly harder to hear out of that ear, and the balance between my left and right ears feels wrong. I went to an ear nose and throat doctor and the hearing test came up ok, and he couldn't find anything wrong with my ear. Then i got a scan of my sinuses and they were ok too. I even checked an orthadontist for tmj and nothing. I have a  history of chronic sinus infections and asthma. Any ideas? Thank you so much

Due to the laws of physics your ear that was infected while listening to loud music, would have actually been protected during loud noise exposure.

I can't help it but that is the truth of the matter. That is why when people have an middle ear infection they have a hearing loss, not an increase in hearing sesitivity.  I can't think of a theory as to why loud music exposure would cause chronic issues related to an ear infection...  at all.
