funny smell

about 6 months ago I started to smell a foul odor.  At first I honestly thought I had dropped a piece of meat in the kitchen somewhere.  I drove everybody crazy helping me find this mysterious piece of meat.  Now I know its just me smelling this foul odor.  It seems to happen on and off and usually in the late evening hours and most of the time accompanied by a light headache and my sinuses get very clogged which makes my headache worse.  Also, it happens when I tilt my head to the right.    Im truly concerned because I feel that by the time I get to the doctor and they do all the necessary tests time will be ticking and things will get worse.   Dont get me wrong I definely will go to the doctor.  Any thoughts!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion.  I have an appt w the doc next wk on the 8th.  Im sure he will refer me to ENT.  Last year I tried to do the flush in the sinuses.  I saw the Dr. Oz show where he demonstrated on how to do it by tilting your head on one side and flushing gently w warm salt water and then tilting to the other side and doing the same.  However, I dont know if I was doing it wrong or too agressive cuz next thing you know my ears started getting clogged, so I stopped.  Now Im having issues w my left ear being clogged periodically.  idk  On the other hand back to my sinuses.  They have been clogged for about 5 or 6 yrs and Ive gone to the doc and he said that at time because I was a smoker I probably damaged my sinuses and had to deal w it.  He prescribed Nasonex.  That was temporary and then I stopped because then the doctor started to be concerned about me getting addicted to the stuff and to be very careful, so now I just suffer.  So all in all I certainly will start finding some permanent relief.  It is getting worse and I do lose a lot of sleep.   PS: 2 yrs smoke Free!!!!

All of those problems could be symptoms of a sinus infection in your upper sinuses. Only a doctor can make a diagnosis.  If it is diagnosed as a bacterial infection, and you are prescribed antibiotics, and they do not work, as is sometimes the case, then here is an alternate treatment that is extremely effective against viral, bacterial, and some fungal infections.

The Flip-Turn Sinus Flush is mildly risky, because you have to bend over to do it, preferably in a shower, but you can also do it outside on soft ground, or you can kneel down and lean over a bathtub, or perhaps a plastic basin or tub, with the shower running for steam.

But, again, go to the doctor first.
