how to regain lost taste and smelling buds

3 months ago i had a bad cold and was treated with several medicines and nose drops - after i got well i seem to have lost my taste buds (I can only fee hot and cold in mouth) and my smelling buds (I cannot even smell smoke).  How can I regain them?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It may take time for you to regain your sense of smell. As, the inflammation and infection subside you should recover. And, with loss of smell there’s likely to be loss of taste also. However, if it persists consult your primary care physician; he may then refer you to a neurologist if needed.
