hyoid bone "lump"

I have a lump in my neck, midway between my chin and jawbone.  I found it last December and was finally able to see an ENT today, who basically said not to worry, its not a tumor, but instead is some kind of swelling ??? attached to my hyoid bone.  He put a scope in my nose to my throat.  Immediately after starting this, he comments that I have "reflux".  This is news to me.  I told him no, I never have heartburn, but I do have draining sinus.  He says no, its reflux going up and thru my sinus passages and draining back down.  He's taken a blood sample for H-Pylori testing but nothing more was said about the lump.  I'm still very worried and wonder if I should get a second opinion.
