i dont know if i have a ear infection or not

hi im 19 and recently i noticed when i slept i would wake up with like a head rush when i turned my head left or right which ive had for a few days and it went away for two days then came back i lost my balance one morning from it and today its not bothering me much but now my ear is acheing slightly but not bad at all i dont have health insurance and i dont have a doctor i dont know if i should go to the er or not because i would feel stupid if its no big deal but ive read it could do damage if its a ear infection and left untreated what should i do

How is your hearing in that ear?  Do you have any drainage?  Are you dizzy all the time or just when you turn your head in certain ways?  How has the "aching" progressed?

hi thanks for responding my hearing is fine no changes in that i have had no drainage and no it was only when i turned my head the aching is better just a tiny pressure which isnt realy noticable and i havent realy felt dizzy in a day

Well, odds are that this will resolve on its own.  Either way, I don't see any need to acquire a huge ER bill for this.  If this fails to get any better after a week, I might consider making an appointment with an ear doctor.  It would still be expensive, but nothing like an ER bill.  Good luck.
