irritating cough

6 month tickley cough, clear mucus, no infection, very salty taste, causing more irritation, had antibiotics, cough remedies, and endoscopy, given nasonex spray, still coughing and still salty taste.

What else can I do?

I'd see an allergist. Sometimes they have to prescribe double or even triple meds. Make sure to remove all suspected allergies from the home, if possible. Do you have indoor animals? Vacuum daily, use hepa filters, etc. Best wishes.

Are you vomiting up the salty mucus? Is it clear and ropey/stringy?

Try Sudafed / Sudafed PE for 3 days and see if it helps. I have the exact same issue as you do and the Sudafed is the ONLY medicine that actually helps me.
