leaking ear?

There is something not right with my ear.  I have always had severe ear wax issues:  over-producing of ear wax and small ear canals.  Just a day or two ago, I noticed that my ear is almost leaking a liquid of some sort and sometimes, it has dried and crusted.  I'm wondering if it is safe or not to use Debrox to clean out my ears right now or if there is an issue here that I should get checked out.  Any advice or thoughts on this would be so greatly appreciated..

I've had the same problems with my ears - lately a chronic problem that's lasted 8 months. I have a perforated eardrum and because of antibiotic use I've developed a fungus which causes leakage and I find that overnight it leaks and is crusty in the morning. It starts out clear then gets yucky. There are a lot of ways to treat it but with a perforated eardrum I"m limited to Gentian violet - it's a dye that has some property that kills off the fungus - I'm now seeing a neurotologist who administers the dye but you can get it from a pharmacist without a prescription - it seems to work.
