My mom went throught that.  She also has to avoid dairy.  The water pill works very well for her.  There is also an Ear Health vitamin supplement that you might want to try.  It sounds like your dr is pretty on top of things.  My mom's first ENT knew nothing beyond avoid triggers.  Then she was referred to a different ENT for thyroid surgery who had all kinds of literature about Minere's disease.  She quickly changed doctors.  One of the better decisions she has made.

Take care.

I was diagnosed with meniere's disease about 3 yrs ago.  I've done tons of research on natural healing because I refuse to take prescription medications.  So here's were I would start - start taking a vitamin B supplement along with gigko biloba and maganese.  These supplements aid in blood circulation but you also have to commit to changing you diet.  I found a website a few years ago and this biochemist's mother had also be diagnosed with meniere's he starting tracking what she was eating and found that foods high in histmines were triggering her attacks (so stay away for that for a while).  I also researched migraine headaches because during my attacks I would also get those.  I found a study that said there may be a link between certain foods and migraines (so I stay away from those) I also stick to a low sodium zero caffine diet.  I was religious about staying away from everything that might trigger an attack for about two years, I took vitamins everyday and stayed away from caffine and salt.  My attacks are mostly gone now.  I do cheat now and then.  But if I start feeling "not so hot", which usually for me going completely deaf in my left ear bacause the ringing is so loud, I start a juice fastand hit the vitamins.  I

had an attack about five months ago ( before that it was about 8 months) and that one seemed to be caused by stress.  My fiance was on a month long trip on the grand canyon and it was the first time I had been on my own in years.  So now I started doing yoga and I try to no not get so stressed about everything.  Sometimes the house isn't as clean as I would like and sometimes I have to ask for help - last night Travis had to make dinner.  Anyway I hope this helps.  Good Luck!
