nasal condition

my 8month old had a sinus infection and was put on augmentin for 10 days once a day.  he got it back again.  is this a sign of something more serious or did the meds just not clear it up?  the dr wants to give him augmentin 3 times a day now.

The same happened with my son. he has had chronic otitis media(middle ear infections) since he was 5 months old. Augmentin, ciprodex, and omnicef never helped and now he has tubes in his ears. AND still getting ear infections has had 2 infections since tube insertion on Dec.5th,2007....if the infections are continuous and aren't releived by any antibiotics you need to ask to be referred to an ENT !! if it is otitis media it can result in hearing loss, among a number of other things. talk with your doctor!!
