nose smells & some loss of taste

I have been smelling gross smells from ; coffee, certain cooked foods, exhaust fumes, toilet, etc. I also have loss some taste. I have had CT of sinus plus 2 courses of antibiotic therapy & predisone as well as pattadase & nasonex with no relief.

What can cause this ?

It started in May after antibiotic therapy for bronchitis.

This condition is called parosmia.  You should do some research on it.  Very few doctors know about it and even fewer know how to treat it.  One possible explanation is nerve damage from the infection.  Yours was probably triggered by either the viral infection or sinus infection and will probably self correct in a few weeks.    Some people experience the bad smells for a much longer time.  You can try using Simply Saline spray as you are leaning way over (a kneeling/bowing position is best) so that the saline solution can get farther up into your sinuses than normal to cleanse the olefactory nerve area.

Praying that your bout with parosmia is shorter than some people I know with the condition.  It is misserable.
