partial hearing loss in one ear

my husband has suddenly lost most of his hearing in his right ear. he has had sinus problems his whole life and had his adnoids taken out as a child. this hearing loss has been going on now for the past several days. he has tried clearing it up with peroxide & saline solution to no avail.
is this something to be worried about? should i make him an appointment with a doctor? if so should it be a family doctor or should i take him straight to an ENT?

Hi,

Your husband must be having sudden sensori-neural hearing loss, it can be confirmed with audiological evaluation and thorough ENT examination. Consult your ENT specialist at the earliest, advise him to take bed rest as well consume fruits and vegetables.

It might be that he has a blocked Eustacian tube from a sinus related issue.  If he's regularly seen by an ear, nose, throat doc, that is who I'd go to in his shoes.
