postoperative hemorrhage

My 6 year old son had his T&A done 14 days ago. Day 10 he hemorrhaged, and was re-admitted to hospital. He was on a drip and intravenious antibiotics (nil by mouth) for 2 days then slowly re-introduced liquid diet, then onto soft foods. His hemaglobin was 8.3 24hours after the bleed then 8.6 a day later... When we were discharged the ENT said back to cold and soft food only for another 10 days. My concern is that this could happen again. The ENT said it is 'unlikely' but I'm still scared because the chance of the initial bleed is 1:100. Is there anything I can do to minimise another hemorrhage?
