rhinitis - deviated septum

i have had what i consider to be sinus issue for several years now. my main complaint is brain fog, occasional dizziness ( feels like motion sickness - not vertigo )  and sinus pressure/headache. in the AM i will have a little solid white discharge when i blow my nose but its nothing major.
i went to an ENT. had a ct scan done of my sinuses. DR said i had a deviated septum with a bone spur. i am scheduled for all kinds of allergy testing and a VNG ( for possible ear issues ) but after talking w/insurance and billing, i can not afford all the testing.

DR said the deviated septum and bone spur could be causing me the issues but wanted to do all this other testing first.

wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and did it turn out to be the deviated septum and not a food or inhalant allergy?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. Allergens are substances like pollen, dust, animal dander, certain foods, insect venoms and certain medications. Maintain a dairy and note down and monitor your symptoms. This may help to narrow down the search and avoid the allergens.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

thanks for the reply!

infection and cold can be ruled out as i have neither. no blockages either. it's too bad the allergy testing is so expensive.

I am experiencing the exact same thing.  I got the allergy testing done and I am not allergic to a single thing... My insurance denied me the surgery though.  I have literally tried everything else.  The constant headaches are awful!  Mine has been going on for a few years and has been getting worse.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your symptoms could be due to a sinus infection, a cold or a chronic allergy. It could also be due to a deviated nasal septum. A combination of chronic allergy and a deviated nasal septum could also be causing your symptoms of sinusitis. Resolving these issues might help reduce your symptoms.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
