ringing in my ear???

i have a ringing in my ear, i was away on holidays 2 years ago and got it blocked by jumping into the pool, went to a doctor and he said that it got blocked and gave me drops, i did eventually get it unblocked. two years on and now i have a ringing noise constant in my ear, not bad when i am moving around etc but at night it kills me with the constant ringing i cant sleep,
please please help???????

Hi,

According to your history, you have this ringing in the ear since 2 years following diving into the water. Can I get a few more details, like any reduced hearing or giddiness? It must be either secretory otitis media or barotrauma. The former is a condition where in the Eustachian tube gets blocked and middle secretions get retained causing constant blocking sensation on that side and the tinnitus. The second condition might be due to damage to the inner ear which has given rise to these symptoms.

I would like to suggest you to get a PTA (Pure tone audiometry) and Tympanometry done, which might give some clues to diagnose the cause for your problem.
