ringing or high pitched buzzing in ears

I am on 2 meds for b.p toprol xl and diovan - im getting a loud ringing in my left ear on and off.. and at night I get a loud high pitched buzzing sound both ears !  
it goes away with loud or normal sounds in the room or where im at.. but comes back when sitting alone reading or online.  really bothers me !  I tryed a natural med called ring stop! and it works ok
but fades out after 4hours or so.. so have to keep taking it.   iv been to 2 diffrent ear doctors and they both said im ok, ears are fine, just dont use Qtips anymore.. for cleaning ears out.  ?

is there anything I can take or do - to stop this ringing or humming noise I get daily and nightly
it drives me nuts !!  

I read that toprol xl has a side effect listed for ringing of ears ?  doctor wont take me off it..
now what ?

Hi,toprol is not related with ringing in ears.

Ringing is mainly due to eustachain tube problems,brain lesions(acoustic neuroma),ear infections,fluid in ear etc or related with some medications,also with hypertension.

Just relax as you have already consulted ENT doctors.

its very hard to "just relax" when at times a loud ringing in the ears happens!  yes iv been to 2 diffrent ear throat doctors before, both took a quick look and said your fine !
and I was shoved out the door (rapid fire) after paying a 40.00 co payment to see them.
(for nothing at all )  Im dead sure its the medications,  I did re-check side effect listings for toprol xl - and found out of 10 sites for side effects, 8 listed ringing of the ears for toprol xl.  I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect.  I also checked DIovan and its listed
as well -
Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them.  thanks too for info on h.b.p  and how it can cause
ringing in the ears, when its too high .. I recheck and check my b.p everyday 3 to 4 times
daily-  when medicatated its down to normal levels.  so that strikes out H.B.P doing it.

im kind of guessing here , as what to do -  as Im not sure what the cause really is.. ?
I have never had this happen before , with any b.p med or even with H.B.P ??
so its new to me !
