sphenoid anyone?

Hello:

I had sinus surgery 4 years ago for severe sinus disease. All was well until about 6 months ago. I delevoped a lump on my gum below the maxillary sinus. I figured it was my tooth, but my regular dr. said it was likely a sinus infection causing inflammation. This went on for a few months, with multiple antibiotics and steroids given.  It never really got better and I just felt sick. In June, I lost a tooth and the dentist said likely my tooth infection was either caused by an infected sinus that drained into the cavity or visa versa and I should see the ENT. So, I went to my ENT, who did a CT scan and said there are multiple polyps, a very think layer of bone left between the right maxillary and the gum (where I lost the tooth) and that now my sphenoid sinus was severely infected. I am scheduled for surgery next week.  

I have noticed in the last few days that my right eye (on the infected side) is twitching and my other eye was diagnosed with severe inflammation today. The dr. said it could be from the sinuses.  Anyone have experience dealing with the sphenoid?  I left a message for my dr. and I am waiting to hear back from him again. Thanks!
