swollen lymph node

by richarddog, Sep 02, 2007 12:26PM
hi im a 25 year old male.  about 3 years ago i noticed a swollen lympth node on the right side of my neck, right under my jaw.  i went to the doctor then and they said that it was most likely caused by an iffection and should go away.  well now 3 years later its still here.  im getting slightly worried because although it remains the same size (about nickle size) it feels funny now.  doesnt hurt and never did it just now i feels like theres a small throbing sensation there now.  i just got back from the doctor and he felt the lymph node he also seemed to find another swollen one against my upper throat.  some times my right ear seems like it has to be popped and feels a bit funny.  i ahve and apointment with a troat ear and nose speacialist in 3 weeks but until then im kind of nervous can any one tell me what this night be?  thanks
