hi, my throat has been feeling heavy and swollen and i feel a thick heavy-ish feeling when i swallow. day or night. i figure theres some thick inflamed lining in my throat that grew, because its gotten worse. In certain positions when im laying on my bed on my back, my throat closes and i can not breathe (i have gotten sleep apnea in the past from this position sleeping) i can only sleep on my sides because of this. Also when i bend over to pick something up, my throat closes as well. i don't get sore throats at all and nothing really looks red in my tonsils. could this be swollen lymph nodes in my throat? or what else makes your throat thick and swollen? i also breathe through my mouth alot. its not like my nose feels trapped..but i do have paranoia and assume i cant breathe from my past panic attacks. Anyway, i always dismissed this as a sinus problem and thought it was maybe thick mucus trapped in my throat from sinuses, but would it cause all these harsh things thats been happening to me like sleep apnea? im really in a tough spot with health insurance and doctors, and would like some opinions first. i dont see any visible thickness on my neck physically. but i have gained weight in my neck, well.. a new double chin. but im not obsese, i still look small. my point is i dont see people thicker than me saying they have this throat problem with weight gain. (i've heard this) so throwing all this out there what do you think?
