I am 24 years old male and a big hypochondriac.. Anyways.. I went through a tonsillectomy 6 days ago.. I've only taken pain killers and the recovery seems to be going well and I have been able to swallow from day 1.
But there is something that worries me, my tongue is very sore (numb/burns - also I feel more sore at the back of my tounge when I move it around.) and it's more white than usual and Im really scared that I have thrush...
But my main question "is thrush common after tonsillectomy surgeries in adults?" or does it only happen to immunocompromised individual?
