Head Stuffines and lost hearing

by e154513, Oct 18, 2009 07:53AM
Can anyone help me...
Started with a sore throat that seemed to affect one ear, then head stuffiness, mucus etc. now hearing has been impacted in one ear (some ringing too) and even bothering the other a bit (I think). It's been going on for 8 weeks.  The ENT says that the reason is some type of nerve damage and permanent.   I find it hard to believe as I had no previous issues and frankly feel really stuffed up but he seems to disregard that as the issue.  Can anyone help?

I have lots of ringing in my ears too.  I wonder how that happened? I've also had problems with stuffiness.  Allergies and colds trigger a lot of that. Hopefully you'll get an answer, but it may not be from the medhelp suggestions community. (this forum is for posting suggestions for the website.)
