My adult son is very concerned about the following symtoms: Mucus in back of throat, no sore throat.  Has bad taste, like something relieved itself on tongue.  Feels like he has bad breath, but does not.  Took a cotten swab to the back
of throat and removed a patch of mucus.  Later took a drink of cold beverage.  Liquid fealt colder in the place he swabed.  On the very back of tongue, he has flat clear blisters, he has had for a long time., he says he can't remember  when he did'nt have them.  Tonsils removed when he was 2.

Mucus in the throat can have many causes.  Sources in the nose include irritation of the nose, sinus infections, allergies.  Reflux of gastric contents and some throat infections can also lead to the same type of symptoms.  Your son should be examined by a physician.  His tongue lesions can be examined at the same time.  Good luck.
