Why am I still dizzy?

I have had bppv since I was 12, I am now almost 23. I have been to pt to times for it and nothing has helped and now i have this burning/tingling senesation in my head and face along with it. For a few years it seemed to go away but then all of a sudden it came back and worse than ever. I had pnemonia (pneumonia) over the summer so I dont know if it is linked to that. Help please. Thank you.

Did you let your MD Know of the burning and tingling?  Any teeth issues Especially Wisdom Teeth have checked? What does bppv stand for? Have you ever had an infection in a nerve/Bells Palsy if you had Bells before and it wasn't treated early enough this can cause facial paralysis and or weakening. I hope you feel better.

other things to check would be sinus, have and x-ray or c-t scan or MRI if still not resolved

Thanks for the info. I actually went for a MRI on my head yesterday and I am going to the neurologist in a few weeks. BPPV stands for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. I dont think I ever had an infection in the nerve and never heard of Bells Palsy but I can do some research on it. Hopefully the mri and neurologist can give me some answers.

Hi,

Benign (not serious) paroxysmal (occurring in episodes) positional (brought on by change in position of head) vertigo (spinning feel)

This condition is usually caused by mild dysfunction of semicircular canals in the inner ear. Inner ear sits in bone, between the ear and the brain.

But this tingling and burning sensation should give a different diagnosis. Is it only on one side or both sides? One will be interested in what the MRI report says and the Neuro opinion.  Please post the same if convenient.

(Facial nerve is the nerve which moves the muscles of face, like the ones to close your eyes or mouth, frown, or to smile. It passes through the middle ear before it comes out. Tingling or burning sensation is carried by the Trigeminal nerve. In fact, the neuro will check the Trigeminal nerve function when you tell him about the vertigo / tingling & burning)

I suffer from and unexpected balance problem ,which has ruined my life,i quit work and i am only 30 ,i would like a job but it's not gona happen ...unless it is a sitting down job.I passed my driving test 2 yrs ago but it was happening in the car and i felt so unsafe and i haven't driven since.I can't go shopping on my own but i have a baby so pusing the bugy helps me get about but soon i won't need a bugy and when this happened with my 1st child i felt like i couldn't go out and became depressed and started having panic attacks .So i am desperet to get it sorted out before i loose me marbels.So far i have had a mri,it was normal the nerologist is refering me to a phsyoligist .How do you know if it 's an inner ear problem?I have this from when i was 12 but it was only bad when i started working when i was 16 .should i see an ent?
