Anxiety Attacks

i am a 34 year old man I am living in Spain and have had to deal with a lot of stress and i am an x alcoholic and x drug addict i have been clean and sober for 14 months but every day it seems to be every few hours i have very high intensity level of Anxiety attacks where i cant  breath sweety feeling like im going to die, once i went to the hospital it was so bad and they can last for hours im scared there is something more wrong with me when i eat or just after i have strong attacks or i wake up at 3am from a deep sleep with an attack, i dont know what to do! im very scared..can you please help me???

Anxiety attacks, are by their very nature, the body's fear response.  The fearful idea is what is missing from the equation, and that's what you have to discover to really get over this.  Medications can help, but they only suppress this further. I would strongly suggest that you see a therapist with the very specific goal of discovering the internal fear idea tha tis causing this problem..When you do that, it  will stop.
