Bulimia Recovery - Its been a year

by Daveyspears, Sep 27, 2009 05:48PM
Its been a year since i engaged in bulimic behaviours. during my 7 years of bulimia my glands would flactuate alot, including my parotid and the ones under my ears, during my recovery they have been quite swollen and vary in size much like they did during my bulimia, i really had hoped they would be better by now, i feel like i cant put my bulimia behind me and move on until this is corrected. I have had numerous tests done, ultrasounds, blood tests, but everything came back fine, i have no other symptoms, i have read in various places that this can take time to resolve but a year is a very long time, Do you think the duration and severity of the bulimia could determine the healing time?

I would be very grateful if i could have some sort of answer as I have never had one from doctors.

Thank you

Hey, well done with your recovery...and you're nearly there, so don't despair!  I'm not able to comment re glands, but I wanted to say *yay*you* because you said you can't put the bulimia behind you while these issues continue...but look how far you've come, and know that the end is in sight.  All the best.
