Chest Pain

I know this is really bad but sometimes I purge once I have had a meal. I havnt done it for a really long time but Ive been under alot of stress so I sometimes have bulimic episodes when Im under pressure. Anyway, I did today and when I purged, my chest really hurt. I had this massive pressure on my sternum from the inside pushing out, It felt like my thorasic cavity was going to explode. Obviously I stoped, but I would like to know why it hurt so much and if I caused any damage to myself. I fell ok now but I could hardly stand the pain I felt when I threw up. This has never happened before!

One word. Doctor. I suffered similar pain, but decided not to tell my therapist unless I was down to a certain weight. You may be messing with more than just the pounds, this isn't something to take laying down. Honestly. Even if you just ask the doctor or nurse what it could be for a "friend," someone needs to know.
