Erratic eating habits = Eating disorder?

Hi, first time poster long time reader of the forums!

I have a question which I'm not sure classifies as an eating disorder or not. Ever since I was young I have always been very thin.  Even now, in my early 30's I'm a size 00.  I find it that at times I can eat and eat and eat but more often than usual I just dont have the appetite to eat.  I do not have any problem with my body image or anything I just don't feel hungry most of the time.  I am not a very active person (although I do have 3 kids) but I have been working graveyard shifts for about 8 years now.  I do however try to eat healthy but there are times where my husband just makes me eat just because my calorie count was just too low for the day.

I wanted to know if this is a problem that would need medical attention of any sort? Does anyone else have or know anyone that also has the same type of problem?

Thanks!

hey. im not a doc but ive had an eating disorder for a while now (about 6 years) and although many people think eating disorders are all about food - they aren't.
they are about control and psychological problems.
how do you feel about food, do you enjoy eating it? do you worry about gaining weight when you eat?
me, i hate food, i eat purely cos if i dont i will die, and even then i struggle to eat. I am terrified of gaining weight ... and although when this all started it was not about losing weight, that is all i am thinking about day and night.
maybe you are just one of those lucky people who has a fast metabolisim.
maybe check your BMI? - to give you an indication if you are underweight for your height.
when you dont eat alot your stomach shrinks so the less you eat, the less hungry you become.
if you are happy within yourself, healthy and not worrying about your weight then thats all that really counts :)
hope that helps
