Help! Confused about weight gain

Dr. Pitts, I am a 5'6" female who weighed on Monday morning at my home scale and weighed 90 lbs.  On Wednesday morning, I weighed on a different scale and weighed 95 pounds.  On Friday morning, I weighed 97 pounds.  I am very confused by this, and don't know what to do about calorie management.  I count calories because I feel as though I have no internal hunger sensors anymore.  If I don't plan meals and snacks, I will skip them.  Please give advice.

There is no doctor on this board; only other people who have experience with eating disorders. You are quite thin for your height, though you probably don't feel that way. You seem to be obsessed with your weight which is a hallmark of an eating disorder. You shouldn't need to count calories at your weight, but simply eat healthy and nutritious meals on a regular basis. If you don't currently have hunger sensors, you might try planning regular meal times that work with your schedule. I would suggest talking to someone about your eating issues and getting some support.

Oh yes, and scales vary. Also our weight naturally goes up and down a few pounds. In addition your body might be trying to set itself to a healthier weight.
