Hi hun,

I think it depends on you and your actual motivation to change. I know that for me, I couldn't have (and wouldn't have) done it without help because there was no way in hell that I would have kept eating to gain weight once it started happening. If you're really determined to get better then maybe give it a shot by yourself, but remember that there's nothing wrong with asking for help. Even if it's just a friend, family member, etc. to talk to when you're having trouble or to encourage you when you need it.

Not sure where you live, but I live in Canada and they have some great (and free) counsellors and support groups here that really helped me out. It's nice to talk to people who are going through the same stuff as you, and to be able to really express yourself without freaking them out (like you might with a friend or something).

I would say that I'm basically recovered now, and it's so much better. Honestly. It's amazing to have energy to do things and to actually enjoy life. Anorexia consumes you when you're in it, but there's so much more to life than worrying about food. Just remember, it doesn't have to be like this forever! You can do it. :)
