How to subsitute healthy eating habits from binging?

I was told I may be diabetic, I am about 70-80 pounds overweight. I have been trying to eat healthy, because I need to make lifestyle changes and fast for myself and my health. The problem is that when I stress out I start to binge on sweets. It really helps my mood. I'm scared, because I don't have a support system in place when these binges take place. Even though I feel better for most of the day, when evening comes and I go to take a shower or look in the mirror, I take a nose dive into a dangerous depression. I'm on alot of psych meds and steriods for asthma and other conditions, so I need to take control and fast. How do you STOP binging? I have a two sister s that do the same thing, but we don't talk about it. Thank-you Jasmine

It is very difficult to change this emotional eating habit, but it can be done, and you sound very motivated, with good health reasons, and ready to tackle the problem.  the only thing I can recommend that I know works is my program, shrinkyourself.com. It is a step by step program...it is either that, or seeing a therapist, because this habit has a psychological basis, and you must understand why you do it, and find ways to stop it based on the answer to why.
