Hyperthyroidism and Eating Disorder?

My eating disorder was caused from being very overwheight once  and living in constant fear and awareness of not going back to those way.
I have just admitted to myself that I do have body image issues and body dysmorphia but I havent shared this with anyone close to me yet, they still think i am a very picky eater. It is still  very fresh and new not to mention extremely sensitive and vulnerable. this whole idea, so i thought joining this group will give me some advice and support.

I was also diagnosed with hyperthryroidism and i was wondering if this in any way relates to my eating disorder or was triggered or caused by it and how i can get help.

Hi I'm also Hyperthyroid and had a ED from the time I was 13 to 35 ,when my Dr said I'm hyper my eating disorder came back I'm 5"5" and weigh 86 pds I'm small boned and am having a hard time eating anything I'm now 53 years old and think will my ED ever stop I also wonder is my ED caused me to become Hyper ,I wish I knew the answer my Dr knows I had a ED and is worried about my wt ,right now ,my Dr said that he thought my ED would come back agains cause of being hyper , he is pushing for Surgery cause I have been in 4 thyroid Storms already ,he does not know how to help me out ,D
