Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I will keep in mind everything you said. Be safe
I think you have enough to worry about with 'just' depression and IBS! In the UK we are not told about tests, they're just "tests". However, you do seem to have had extensive investigations which, apart from the hepatic site about which no-one seems concerned medically. We have to trust someone!
IBS is horrible. My daughter has it and she's taken everything around. However, she says what helped her the most was a tablet she bought from the health shop which I think has a mint base. It won't hurt to ask and I know it's specifically for IBS. It does take the pain away.
You know you have to eat healthily, etc. Irregular bowel movements are a nuisance but my daughter has found that doing some relaxation from a cd once a day seems to relax her whole system, including her bowel.
The other thing I've tied when I was stresses and had loads of gas was charcoal tabs, again cheap from a health shop. You have to chew them and then clean your teeth otherwise you look like a chimney sweep! They are excellent though for dispersing gas and, sh! if it's smelly they neutralise the smell!
Once you start feeling better from your depression, which you will, I would think that your IBS will improve. They say that it's due to stress in the first place, and we're not all a body, head, arms and legs. The mind affects the body and the body affects the mind. No-one's fault, that's how we work. Just take one day at a time. Gradually you'll start having good moments, then good hours and then good days. If you have a rubbish one in the middle, don't panic. Just remember that you have felt better and remember the light you saw through the dark. It will come back. I wish you so well and you know we're always here for you.
