Starvation and Brain

by craig134, Nov 06, 2009 04:40PM
I suffered from anorexia for about 4 1/2 months. By the end it got pretty bad as at the start I was already fairly skinny. Production of semen stopped, became very low in energy, apathetic, dizzy, etc. At the moment I'm on a 5,000 calorie a day diet and holding to it well. My concern is whether this will have any permanent impact on my brain in terms of memory, intelligence, etc? From what I've read any cognitive effects are basically completely reversible? I'm 22.
