Threw up after eating.

Threw up after eating.

Hi, I am living with my gf for 5 years but sad to say that after all these years I just found out that she threw up after eating. She would sneak to the bathroom to threw up and come back for meals again. She is 5.5 and weight 110lbs. I assume that that's healthy weight. She is a very moody person, cannot control her emotion. I always thought that she eats a lot but no in this case. I am not too sure if she still does it after she came back to eat for the 2nd time. I am so worry, I tried to talk to her but she got very mad and not want to let me know and talk about it. If this is not a health issues I think I am not going to mention it again but if it is could you please teach me what to do next? She doesn't admin it till I caught her red handed and very resist to talk. I just tried to talked to her and we got into a very big fight. Please help.

hi there..she is considered bulimic. it is where you threw up after you eat. the reason she is at a normal weight now is because being bulimic doesnt make you lose weight. your body has already absorbed what it needs. my friend has been bulimic for 15 years now and at a normal weight. they dont want anyone to know about it, and they do it to feel like they are in control. its a very serious thing and it does cause health problems. it can cause tooth and gum problems, and lots of stomach internal organ problems. its not healthy. the problem is that she's not going to go get help unless she understands she has a problem and wants help. i was actually anorexic/bulimic 12 yrs ago. i got caught and was forced by my parents ( i was 14) to see a nutritionist, mental health counselor, and almost in-patient treatment. luckily it wasnt that bad, but if she's been doing it for awhile then she may need to be admitted in a treatment that is at a hospital and they dont let you leave they watch you. you cant trust her on her own because she will just keep throwing up. so if you care about her you will NOT let this just slip by. tell her that you care and that you are going to get her help. thats fine if she wants to get into a fight and get mad, but in the long run it will be worth it , she doesnt understand that now. good luck
