am i bulimic?

I'M confused about having a possible eating disorder...
I gained like 14 lbs around 2 years ago, then I started making myself sick after lunch at work, then I started using laxatives and being obsessed by weight and counting calories. I lost the weight I gained and for the last year have maintained my normal weight of 124lbs, at 5 ft 5 that's perfectly healthy.
I no longer purge, or take laxatives, yet after every time I eat I just want to go and puke.
Things got better this summer, but now things have taken a turn for the worse, so I'm a bit confused. It's like I have all the thoughts, but I'm resisting to the point where I'm not actually binging and purging. So in theory I have all the mental symptoms, but none of the physical and I just don't understand what to do

I completely understand. And this is very normal! First off, congrats for stopping your destructive habits in time before doing any permanent physical damage. No I don't think you still "have" an eating disorder, but obviously there are still some thoughts that were left behind. The toughest part is to try beat this psychologically, I know. Do you find that when you are feeling good about yourself, are less stressed and happy with the way your life is going, that you don't have the urge to purge? It all starts within your mind. When you are content with what you see in the mirror and the kind of person you are, you won't feel the need to do yourself any harm by abusing laxatives, vomiting or severely restricting calories. Take care of yourself. Stay positive. Focus on what you DO have and don't let those negative thoughts take control. Be kind to your body. And if you want to improve it, do it the healthy way!
Keep up the good work, girl!
