can you please help me or give me advice (ANOREXIA)

hey ive been suffering with anorexia for about 4 years.
i havnt had any help and hardly anyone knows about it (none of my family does)

i am 16 now and about 5ft 6 ... the lowest weight ive been is about 6st

im recovering by myself (havnt restricted for about a month ) :)
but ive still got all the thoughts (like im worthless and it will be better if i wasnt here etc)

do you think i will ever be able to be recovered 100% ?
if so, how long would it take?
can i do it by myself?
what do you think i shouild do?

i no im not recovered at all yet because i stoped restricting last time for about a month and then i just lost control and went into a relapse :(

thanks for all answers in advance xx

Hi

I'm not going to use your tag name because I think it is very negative!

I'll try and respond to your questions. I have fifteen years recovery from my eating disorder. You are very right that the thoughts and feelings are what is behind our eating issues. Can you recover without help? It's possible, I did it, but it will likely take a lot longer and be a lot harder than if you get help. Therapy by someone experienced with eating disorders can help you deal with all those thoughts and feelings that can so easily lead you back to the old behaviors despite your best intentions. You have to change the underlying feelings that caused the behavior to begin with. Good luck! You can do it, it's just not as easy as just wanting to!
