For me, limiting my intake of sugar did not work; I had to cut it out entirely. Sugar is addictive, and with any substance we are addicted to, the addiction is both physical and mental/emotional. So you eat some sugar (or salt) and you want more. For me the only thing that worked is to stop entirely; that was not easy to do and I had several false starts, but now I have not eaten sugar for 15 years, and I have no desire to do so. Fruit tastes nice and sweet to me now. To deal with the emotional addiction you need support and I absolutely agree with Left Coast Chick that OA is a great source of support. You can get a sponsor who you can call when you feel like bingeing to get you past the addiction. Good luck.

What I wpuld dp is keep them away from u... pass by them at the store, and if the cravings really get 2 u, start chewing some gum. A lot of foods tend to taste nasty following gum.
That's a pretty general question. Are you on any meds? Are you worried they are causing you to have more cravings. Regardless of why, it's about self control regarding junk foods. Most of the time, I replace fruit and/or protein which helps with my cravings for sugar, I get nasty headaches from having too much sugar. I still cave, like today, I had 2 donuts, but I'm already feeling ick, and I know I shouldn't have eaten 2, it should have been just one if I was thinking logically and not letting my cravings control me. Bingeing is a little known but most occuring of all the ED's, people don't get as agressively treated by mental health workers, because it's not seen as being as dangerous. (which is bull) . I would highly suggest you go to an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, they are in most communities. You might find the meetings really helpful!
