I have stage 2 endometriosis that is mainly on bowel (pelvic organs are fine) and had lap month ago to remove adhesions off of bowel (it was like saran wrap "adhered" my small bowel to large bowel to abdominal wall and pelvis) since then I'm still in severe pain with same symptoms, been to er twice last week,x-rays ,blood work normal,no bowel blockage (had 3 bowel blockages last fall) no sign of infection.Went to gyno today..told me its IBS..grrr! I dont know why im still in severe pain..its even worse than before! bm's are very painful and doubles me over in pain, its pelvic and abdominal pain..stabbing/cramping constantly.. any ideas or similar expericeces? thanks!
p.s ENDO IS A CURSE ):
also forgot to add along with pelvic/abd pain is SEVERE rectal/leg pain..i know ibs dont cause this,is it possible for adhesions to come back that fast after surgery?!?! my dr wont give me nothing for pain (Ibuprofan does not help) I'm just getting frustated....
I'm so sorry you haven't been able to find some relief from your pain, I know you were so hoping that the surgery would provide some respite...here's a hug! Are you taking any meds at all, bc or lupron? If you aren't taking something to supress the estrogen in your body then yes, I imagine that the endo could be coming back that quickly. That's why it's a good idea to get on something right after surgery. I'll be thinking about you...message me if you want to talk.
