13 days of bleeding - Anemia?

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Endometriosis by Lap in August of this year (2011). We are wanting to start trying to get pregnant in Spring of 2012 so we decided to forgo the Lupron shots and just be on birth control to regulate my period and help with the Endo.  Kind of a "suck it up" type therapy :-)
Over a week ago I had severe pain overnight on Saturday the 26th, even to the point of waking up my husband to possibly take me to emergency room.  I started bleeding chunks of black and brown, almost like I had a D&C or colposcopy!  I waited it out until I could call my Dr on Monday, it took 3 calls in and lots of on hold time to get an answer from him.  He called me in "Estrodial"? which from what I read is Estrogen to "calm my uterine lining"
I really saw no change in the flow, the pain seemed to subside a little more but he told me to take 600mg of Ibuprofen every 5 hours....
It has been 13 days and yesterday I came to my "skip" pills in the BC pack.  So now I started heavy bleeding like normal period on top of it. and OMG the cramps!... It's like I'm back to where I was before my lap!

I have had episodes of almost blacking out, I get very dizzy, like I'm low on blood.  Which Im sure I am, but when is enough enough?.... when is it anemic?

Anyone had anything like this happen while on birth control? Is my dr taking this too lightly?

I am having a similar situation but not quite to the severity that u are. I have had a lap about a month ago. And started the bc that she wanted me to take. Without the empty pills. Which I have done. However now I have been bleeding for 20 days. Most days have been very light. But I called and they put me on pro era which was supposed to reset my body and then give me another period at the end of the ten days. I am at day six of ten and still bleeding!  It is al brown and black blood as well with clots which just means its old blood. my pre op pain is also back as bad as it was before e surgery!!!!!!!!

U. Old be anemic. Are u bleeding really heavy? Are u pale feeling really run down? These are all other symptoms of anemia

Yes, I've been coming home from work and basically laying on the couch, napping on and off.  I have a few spells where the room spins really quick and I think I'm going to black out, so I know I'm low on blood.  I've just been trying to eat meat and veggies, and also take vitamins to boost it back up...
I started my "skip" pills the other day and have had really heavy, bright red blood, heavier than usual for me... changing out tampon every 3-4 hours...

Have you called your doctor!???? They need to know. That's sounds to heavy!  If your ob won't do anything try talking to your pcp about checking your hemoglobin levels. It's very possible your anemic.

hey i had sugery in 09 for cyst on my left ovary how my ob new i had endo every time pd comes i hurt bad i hate it i cant take pain what can i do,,, i was on pill and shot dnt help makes me sick happn u at all,, u might be

Well I stopped bleeding on Saturday, like someone turned off the faucet and am feeling a TON better. I guess I'll wait it out and see how this month's cycle goes...

I just finished a cycle of 24 days of bleeding. They counldnt tell me why or what might be causing it. But i called my pcp and made them draw blood and I am anemic. So I feel your pain!

when i was on bc i bled none stop they had to do a dnc and they ended up finding 6 pulups they removed in my uterus since being off the bc and the surgery i havent had the bleeding like i did. it was this time last year for me. i bled for months also spotting inbetween that. drink plenty of fluids and if anything see another doc to get his imput might help. IB is about the only thing to calm this pain other than pain pills and those all come with other side effects.. good luck hope u find whats wrong.
