Acupuncture for Endometriosis?

Hello,
I am completely new here. I was diagnosed with endometriosis back in 2013 while attempting to get my tubes tied. My doctor told me that she couldn't even take a biopsy because she couldn't tell what was scar tissue and what was organ that it was so bad.
My main problem is the extremely heavy bleeding. To the point I have had to go to the emergency room from blood loss. My monthlies are lasting 20+ days that are very heavy. I usually have to lay in bed with my feet elevated and an ice pack on my abdomen just to try to control it.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has ever tried acupuncture for endometriosis. If so, did it help?

I found a place close to where I live stating they can improve the symptoms and it would cost $120.00 for the first visit then 80.00 for each additional one. I can't afford a hysterectomy I am scared to take medications and I am getting desperate.
Any advice would be greatly welcome.

Thank you,
~Min

Ticked has given you great advice! You need an endometriosis specialist! My journey is very similar to hers and so now half my life has been in pain because I chose the wrong route because we did not have all this info at our finger tips...my organs have been glued together 3 times (Frozen pelvis) once upon diagnosis and the dr. said I had to have hysterectomy with ovaries removed...took me 13 years to figure out what was wrong and I went to the gyn and asked for the diagnostic lap...then after the hysterectomy it took another 7 years to get to a specialist and the state of my pelvic floor is not good and never will be...I have had 5 surgeries since this to try to fix the damage of hysterectomy and endometriosis...so please see a specialist!

As for acupuncture...it will help with your pain some what...I did it weekly for years...but the only way to have a shot of being well is to have the disease cut out by a specialist...all acupuncture can do is potentially bring down your pain...it will not cure you! Heat packs are my go to on high pain days...

I know many people that have gone this route that have had success. A hysterectomy is not a cure for Endo so please don't let anyone tell you that as it can still grow back. Most doctors who say what yours did about how bad it was means its possible he is not educated or skilled in Endo surgery. If you let me know where abouts you live I could help you find a good Endo surgeon so if there is a time you would see one you will have the name on hand. It took me 14 yrs to be diagnosed and I know seeing a specialist was key. Did your doctor mention anything about possible Adenomyosis or Fibroids as well? They could cause the heavy and long periods of bleeding especially Adeno
