Anxiety over endo

Hello, i am 32 years old and i was diagnosed with stage IV endo, back in september. I also have on my colon, based on the findings in my ct. Never had a lap, and i am currently on visanne which has worked really well on me, with no side effects. Except from the fact that 2-3 days per month, i'm experiencing all the endo symptoms. I am a very calm person and never had anxiety in my life, about anything. And now i have, and i can't control it sometimes. Before starting my treatment, the pain was unbearable and i couldn't have sex. And i'm just afraid of the pain coming back. Maybe i need more time to get to know endo, not really sure. I was only diagnosed 8 months ago

The visanne will not cure your endo and it is SO EXPENSIVE!!!  I have total coverage here in canada but it is NOT covered and is $200.mnth.  No med is going to cure your disease and until you get it removed it will just continue to get worst.  The worst part of this is that it can cause infertility and your organs can sustain real damage, especially with stage 4.  Please don't mess around with this.  Get a different doctor and a different opinion.  I lost 6 years of my life to this and had to fight for proper care.
The mri will likely show nothing.
The only way to see endo is by lap unless you have a huge mass or growth or something.
My doc showed me the pictures of the lesions all over my uterus, bowel, and bladder and it was CRAZY.  No wonder it's so painful, we have open sores all over our insides.
Please consider this seriously.  You deserve to be happy and healthy.

Thank you for your answers and your support. I don't have any period since i started my treatment, only some spotting the first few months. And my doctor told me that with visanne endo may subside. I'm supposed to have an upper and lower abdomen mri next month, and an ultrasound. If there is a decrease i will be switching to bc pills. Having a lap is an option, but my doctor suggested we try medications first.

Hey I feel ya.  I have stage 4 endo and until I found an awesome surgeon who excised it from EVERYWHERE including my bowel, bladder, ovaries, and cervix I suffered in total agony no matter what meds I took.  I was good after that surgery for nearly 4 years and just had a return of horrific symptoms 6 months ago.  I am returning for surgery this summer and then hope to conceive afterwards.  As ticked said, the meds only mask it.  The only way to get some real relief is to excise the endo.
And hey, the hormones give me awful anxiety too.  I am taking them now to stop the bleeding and I feel like a total basket case.
Just know you are not alone and there is help out there.  You just have to be aggressive in getting it.
Sending support..

Sometimes the meds cause anxiety and knowing that you are visanne it's most likely because you have progesterone only going in your body and your body isn't balance. That's the problem with using meds for Endo.

The problem for you is that you are only masking the pain not actually removing the disease which you will need to do in order to have those pains go away. Have you thought about that yet?
