Appt. tomorrow! I'm a nervous wreck!

DLA
So my appt is at 2:30pm tomorrow and I'm so nervous about it.  As I sit here typing I'm in a lot of pain.  AF will be here any time now and when her visit gets close I start having horrible stabbing pains.  Feels like something is being stabbed in me or ripped out of me.

Am getting ready to make my meds list and update my list of symptoms.  Don't think I'll be sleeping much tonight.

Strange thing happened today.  I was at WallieWorld and ran in to a class mate of mine.  2 wks ago she had complete hysterectomy and bad endo.  Said her intestines were so twisted around that they were pressed against her back.  UGH!   Guess we might have a lot to talk about at our 20th reunion this summer.

Will let you know what happens tomorrow night.

Well, after hours and hours of searching by both my mom and I we can find no info on the connection between metabolic syndrome and the pain I'm having.  The only connection to pain I can find is fibromyalgia.  And I can guarantee you that's not it!

I looked up AS and I think my husband has it.  Every symptom to the letter, but he won't listen.  Of course.  But it doesn't sound anything like me.

The metabolic part is I'm insulin resistant, diabetic, and have no thyroid.  Haven't had the time still yet to find out what it all has to do with the pain.  Been doing my community leader duty.  ;-)

The pain is mainly in the pelvic area.  Mainly low on my left.  But there is a very bad spot right in the middle of my abdomin, about 2 inches above belly button.  hurts to touch it.  Lots of different pain.  LOTS of pain.  I don't know, Tina, I'm very tired of it.  Didn't even give me anything for the pain other than when AF visits.

Can't sit right now for very long tonight b/c of all the dr did to me.  When I hurt, which isn't all the time, I can't sit or walk for very long.  Makes the pain a lot worse.  Feels like something being squashed when I sit and torn when I walk.

I'm praying that they can get you the help you deserve very soon.  It's been a long road, hasn't it?  We're both deserving of a break.  The problems and diseases just keep coming, don't they!  Calgon, take me away..............

Dac where exactly are these pains? You say you can't sit or stand long that sounds like me, now when talking metabolic is that like a protein? This thing going on with me is a inflamatory problem and something about protein well they say it is like my immune system is not turning off so they just put me on that enbrel injections to slow it down. Now others I have talked to some have the thyroid issue and have had hysterectomy and this is all in the same line of problems. Look up AS Ankylosing Spondilitis, it can affect a woman anywhere really. I am not trying to diagnose you I just know how you feel. Hugs! Tina

Sorry I couldn't post last night.  Was dodging tornadoes all night.  Completely flooded in by this morning.  Slept most of the day today since I was up the entire night.  Storms finally ended about 7:30 this morning.

He said that I don't have endo.  No, he didn't do a lap he just examined every single orafice I have and doesn't think that's it.  He believes that I am so swollen and sore b/c of metabolic disorder.  Have not had time to research this yet.

He wasn't a very nice dr either.  Wouldn't answer my questions and his questions to me didn't amount to much of anything important.  Another bozo!

He did a pelvic.  Took 10-12 scrapes of tissue while he was in there.  Tapped my bladder.  Examined my colon.  Palpated everything to death.  And just basically had me almost begging for mercy by the time he finally got finished.  Said he would have the results of all the 3 million tests soon.

Gave me a script for a non-steroidal anti-inflamitory pain med.  It's for my period and the pain apparently.  Had to find that out some where else.  But it is so dangerous you can't take it for more than 7 days!  Haven't got it filled yet, and not sure I'm going to.

Am going to read up on the metabolic stuff and see if I agree with anything he said.  Will let you know later.  Can't stand to sit here for very long.  Am in a whole lot of pain as I'm sure you can imagine.

Thank you both for the prayers and concern.

Yes, I'm still here.  Getting ready to go to bed and hopefully sleep.

I'm seeing the new gyn tomorrow about possibility of endo.  I've been updating my meds list and working again on my symptoms checklist.  Also making list of problems on my own.

Am seriously hoping for hysterectomy at the very least.  Am getting ready to start another of these stupid periods where I can't leave the house for a week solid!  So tired of it all.

Am really ready to get on with this, but now am really nervous.  Think AF's impending visit is not helping any.  Hormones making me nuts!  Am very weepy today.  Tomorrow should be f-u-n.
