Confused

I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year had a lapri and chose to just stick to nsaids to handle pain and was good for a couple months. Now of course it's awful and I have decided to have a mirena placed. The doctor was unable to place due to cervix not opening prescribed me a misoprostal and wants to try again. I think he meantime (2days after iud attempt) I feel like I have a yeast infection so I took diflucan. I am feeling concerned and very abnormal with all of this and am wondering if anyone can tell me their experiences with iud, failed or successsful attempts, effectiveness on ends etc. HELP!
