Could it be endo?

About a month ago one of my coworkers (I'm a waitress) ran into me with a tray. The next day I almost passed out from the pain and my husband took me to the ER. They did some lab work and a CT scan, but didn't find anything wrong. Diagnosed me with abdominal contusion. But, a month later I'm still in pain, not as bad, but it's still there. Just today I started spotting a little and I have a little sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I'm not entirely sure what to do about it. 3 years ago I went to the ER with these same symptoms and they didn't find anything wrong. I know I'm not imagining these symptoms, but I can't seem to get anyone to listen to me. I know something is wrong; but all my tests come back negative. I feel so confused.

I'm going back to the doc on Wednesday. I'm gonna take my sister with me instead of my husband because he doesn't understand how to explain this to the doc. This is turning into the most stressful month ever. I'm going to the doc, my husband has been suffering from severe migraines and needs to go see a neurologist, and I have to take my daughter in for her 3 year check up. Maybe I should just move in at the clinic since I'm always there anyways!

I know it can be hard you know about how I was in pain for 10+ years  and no one listened to me until I was on death's doorstep.  Getting people to listen is so hard.

I'm gonna call them tomorrow. I'm not on BC and I don't think I'm going to start any because it will just make me more bloated. I'd also prefer that they figure out what is wrong first. This is so frustrating.

I understand, keep pestering your doctor until they listen. I was in and out of the ER last year before the gyno would listen. He & the ER doc's told me I had a cyst that ruptured. They are right about the cyst, but they werent listening when i told them my pain is ALWAYS there. I have a very high pain tolerance, so some days I can function just fine. But then there are DAYS when i can barely move. When endo flares up it can cause constipation/diarreha. If you are in pain during or after sex, or you get pinkish/red discharge tell your doctor. Telling my doctor that, lead him to do a laparoscopy. Thats how we found the endo. Birth control can cause weight gain and/or water retention. As for the swollen lymph nodes, those usually only swell when you have caught a bug. Call your GP & describe the coughing/swollen lymph nodes. Dont know about the gallbladder, but bring that up too. I have discovered that the more you repeat your symptoms at appointments, the doctors FINALLY listen!!! Keep me posted.

So, I know my doc said she didn't think I had endo or anything else wrong with me; but I don't think she is right. There is something wrong. My lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and I can't stop coughing even though I'm not sick. Sometimes I cough so hard I almost puke. I'm so freaking bloated and I can't stop gaining weight. I don't eat very much and when I do I eat very healthy so I shouldn't be gaining weight. I've always been a small girl. I lost all my pregnancy weight in 8-10 weeks and I've gone up 2 dress sizes in the last year! I feel like ****. I wonder if there is something wrong with my gallbladder.

I just want an answer and I NEED a doctor to just sit down and listen to me. Why is that so hard to ask for?!

Turns out I had a small cyst rupture. I'm going to start my BC and if my abdominal pain isn't gone then I'll go back to the doc. On a positive note my husband and I like this doc a lot better than our gen prac I was seeing before. Thanks for the support, girls.

It sounds like maybe endo. When it flares up it can cause bloating. If u can take mortin, advil, alieve, they help. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious.  Keep me posted, if its endo i can talk u through it as best i can.

I called my doc and she referred me to a gyno, so I'm going there early next month. I know I don't have a cyst because of the CT scan. Unless I got one since I last had the CT scan. The pain hits me every once in a while, like sharp shooting pain. Not cramps. So, do I have pain during sex? Sometimes. I'm also really bloaded and gained 15 lbs. Which is frustrating because I had lost most of my pregnancy weight. I took a pg test and it was negative now.

U need to see the gyno. Endo doesnt show up in lab work, ultrasounds, or ct scans. The only way to diagnose endo is explain your symptoms to the doctor. If they think its endo, u will have to have surgery to find out for sure. Or it could be a ovarian cyst that ruptures. I have both. And they didnt gradually start for me either. Gonna get a little personal on you, Do you have pain during or after intercourse?? Or spotting after??
