in early 2009 I was diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis. I had a laproscope and endometrial ablation. I still get very painful periods.
My last cycle I had a lot of pain on day 1 and then bled for 2-3 days and then on day 5,6 and 7(today) have had that nasty stitch like pain in my right ovary area. I have had a bit of constipation off and on the last couple of weeks (it cleared for about 5-6 days after I took a few doses of Movicol) but now it seems to be back. I also suffer nausea due to anxiety but today it is very bad, almost constant this morning but I feel hungry too & am scared to eat anything...
Is it possible my endometriosis has returned? I went off pill (Nordette) in Feb 2008 and then last year started it again because I wanted to try sort out my anxiety issues (October).
I had my Endometriosis cleaned out twice so far. I was having bad pain like I did before the surgery. Eight years had passed before I needed the second surgery. I would see your GYN and discuss your pain issues with him or her to see what can be done to help your pain. Hope you feel better soon!
Did they do excision when they did your lap or was it laser?
I see that you came off the pill which would be why you are feeling the way you do.
Did the pill cause you anxiety or did you have that already?
I too have anxiety and certain meds caused my anxiety and depression to get worse.
Is it possible to maybe see your doctor to see if you can take some sort of medication for the anxiety and go back on the pill?
I am saying from my experience that I had to be on ADD to work out why I was getting depressed and having anxiety. I was on the pill at the same time as it helped with my hormones and to suppress the Endo.
I came off that ADD 2 yrs ago because I was getting more anxiety and only helping the depression.
After trying Visanne to treat the Endo it really sunk me into a deep dark depression so I decided to go back on an ADD and back on my original pill as it was working for me.
I see a therapist now for about 4 months and I have started to deal with the Chronic pain I have had, understanding where my anxiety was stemming from, as well as I have learned what triggers the depression.
Since doing that I am doing well mentally and I am able to combat this disease. I realize that I have seasonal depression but the meds I am on now helps with the anxiety.
Let me know if any of that helps or makes sense to you.
I know everyone with Endo is different and meds work different as well with each person. If you are not on anything to suppress the Endo it will grow back.
