Does this CT hint endometriosis?

I'm 16, suspect I have endo. My periods are miserable the first couple days, I cry in pain every month. My period is always off by 3-4 days. It's impossible to have a BM the first 2 days because it hurts so bad! Occasionally I do have diarrhea, though... not too often. Every month in between periods I feel pain (not bad, just dull and uncomfortable) on the lower left side of my pelvis. Does this mean its the same ovary EVERY month that releases the egg?

I had a CT, and the results are: 9mm cyst on left ovary, a "large" amount of free floating fluid in the pelvis, and 12 mm of fluid in my endometrium which the radiologist noted is "more than we normally would see". I had just finished my period the day before the scan; some websites say fluid can build up when you ovulate then shed with the period (of course) but I had JUST finished.  Does the fluid in endometrium have anything to do with endometriosis?

Of course the CT showed no "implants" which is normal, just wondering if the endometrium fluid has a connection to it.

My gyno never did a pelvic exam on me, I have no idea why?. Hmm.

I've never had sex if that matters.

ummm the ob that did my surgery said that it was most likely a cyst that had burst. So we went with that for awhile. But the pain continued so I had the lap. The new OB that I am now seeing who has been my life saver said that it is normal to have some free fluid in your pelvis and shouldn't be worried to much about.  I will say that if you are unhappy with your care that you are getting from your OB it never hurts to get a second opinion. I would recommend going to a different office tho. Because that can become a sticky situation if not. But after I got my second opinion I have been a new person.. This new doctor really took the time to look at everything and figure it  out. And I am mostly pain free.  I too find it strange that she didn't do a pelviv but maybe she had a reason that we don't know about? Who really knows. If you need anything just let me know.

Thanks for replying!!! What did your gyno say the cause of your fluid is? Just the "normal fluid"? The radiologist noted that my amount of fluid was quite a bit, which he thinks was just another cyst, according to the report. My gynocologist said we can schedule the laparascopy anytime we'd like... I just find it weird how she never chose to do a pelvic exam or anything.

I was sent to my ob due to free fluid in my pelvis  that was seen on an CT. there is some natural amounts of fluid that will be seen there. how much I don't know.  I think you just need to make an appt with your OBGYN and talk to her about your questions. Unfortunatley the only way to truly diagnose is to get in there and look.  I hope that its not what it is bc its just no fun. But if it is at least you will know and it can be treated. Good luck to you !

As far as I know of the fluid has nothing to do wth endometriosis, I've read many books on it over the years and never heard fluid mentioned. Endometriosis is the growth of endometrium tissue outside of the uterus. The only way to diagnose is through surgery. The pain on the one side more then likely has to do with your cyst. Def keep on your doctor to get answers as what you describe is not normal. It could be endo, but it could be something else. Its easier to deal with when you know for sure. Good luck.

I forgot to add that I always have pelvic cramps for 3 days before my period. These feel like "normal" period cramps (like I used to have), and I used to have a minor aching before periods. Now it really feels like a normal period pain before period and then horrid pain during my period. Pain has gotten so much worse in the past year.
