ENDOMETRIOSIS TREATMENT

I have had endometriosis for years. I had 2 times laprascopic surgery done in ten years. I am now 43 and i thought i could get over with the endo as i get older. But to my diappoinment, the endo returns. My gynecologist exmained and confirmed a big endo lesion found near my ovary. His advice for me is to go for 3rd surgery and to also confirm whether the lesion is normal or not.
Please give me your professional advice whether are there any other option for me than the surgery. I would think the endo would return despite how many surgery were done before.

What it sounds like is that you possibly have adenomyosis or fibroids due to the changes in your uterus.

A good Endo specialist will do all of it laparoscopically unless there is complications but that is still rare. Women who have exision surgery have 80% chance of  being pain free. This is impararive because it gets to the root of the disease

Thank you for your reply. My other surgery was laparascopic and was done in 2010. From my recent ultrasound examination,  a gyno said the lining has grown more to my uterus wall and other places. My uterus looks swelling due to the lining. One lesion big in size locates outside the uteus. My gyno can not confirm that is endo o not. He suggests to get other gyno advice.

Does excision surgery help in total recovery from endo? is excision surgery open surgery or laparascopic? My menses pain still bearable with help of pain killer sometimes. 3rd surgery i

My advice to you is to find a endo specialist that excises (cuts out) the disease instead of just laser. There are not many of those surgeons out there but I can help find you one in your area.

The problem with regular gynos who do Endo surgeries is that they don't always know the different faces of endo. There are so many forms, colors etc and to the untrained eye it gets missed. Using laser will only get the surface of the disease while excising will get to the root.

Endo can grow back yes but you will have an 80% chance of feeling better in the long run if excision surgery is done.

When you had your other surgeries were they open surgeries or laparscopic (tiny incisions?)
