Endometrial abalation and D&C

I just returned from my consultation with gyn.  She said my overian cysts are simple and small, I have a  fibroid that is low and in the center (it is about 1 inch in size). She is mostly concerened about the endometriosis. She wants me to take progeterone until the end of this month and then schedule a D&C and an endometrial abalation.   I've heard good things about the abalation. She wanted me to take the progeterone so i would have a period, then schedule the procedures. Any thoughts on these procedures? Does this sound right?

I don't know if you have kids but I think after an abalation you can't have any...make sure you ask before is you are still thinking kids.. good luck with it...Hope your D&C goes better then mine. I had mine 2 weeks ago and i have had a lot of problem ever since they did it because of abnormal bleeding... still bleeding but thats just me....

I have 2 grown sons and have had a tubal. Fertility is not an issue. I think the reason she is doing the abalation is to keep the heavy bleeding from happening again. 70% do not have a period afterwards. I'm sorry you are still having problems.
