I would get a copy of your report. In fact from now on I would get copy of all the tests that you have done so you are not repeating them and also to have on file as some doctors miss the smallest details where it is significant to others.
she said it was probably follicle
What type of cyst was it? That makes a difference. Was it blood filled or a functional cyst? Maybe get a copy of your report that is always a good thing.
It is quite possible that you could have def hurt something that caused nerve and other pain. Maybe have that checked out?
I don't know if this has anything to do with my symptoms but, I wrecked a quad 3 years ago and never went to the doctor...I got ran over by a dirt bike and had a nasty scrape on my lower left back
I now have a hard lump on my lower left back, close to my spine...it has never really bothered me because I always get back pain from the possible endo
today I am getting numbness and tingling throughout my lower left back/leg, also some pressure in my ears
what in the world is going on...could I have damaged something on this wreck that started these symptoms?
I just got my ultrasound results back and I did have a 2.5cm cyst on my left ovary...doc said she didn't think it was a problem as most women get them
I did research and found that most women get them during their periods...this ultrasound was done 10 days after my period
does this mean it isn't endo? what else could it be and should I be worried about cysts?
My blog is posted in my profile if you want to check it out as well as contact information. I can help you find friends and support with this disease if you are interested. Sorry I am just getting back to you now I have not been getting any alerts for new posts
just had my ultrasound...they also did a transvaginal as well, wish I knew what I was looking at lol
my left ovary definitely looked nothing like the right but like I said, I have no clue what I am looking at
the right was all blacked out and the left was not
this is weird and I don't know if it is related but I just ate at Subway and after my stomach started to hurt, like stabbing pains then my lower back got really sore
This does seem to happen a lot, maybe related?
I went to the appointment and got an annual pap...she prescribed BCP's for now and ordered a pelvic ultrasound
she seemed to think endometriosis was the culprit so we will see, she was also saying if it got better with BCP's then it is a sign of endo but will I have to be on it forever then?
she was saying that I was to young for a hysterectomy so maybe she was thinking that at some point?
I just don't want to be on pills for ever as that to me is just masking the problem
Thanks for your advice...I am not one to go to doctors so this is a big step for me
I have broken my shoulder, had concussions and this pain far exceeds those and that's how I know it is not normal
I get some cramping but to the extreme mine are is odd and annoying. I am seeing a female doctor tomorrow and will insist for an ultrasound but I hear most don't show anything
Tell him everything that you have said here. He should send you for an ultrasound to see if you have any cysts. Most likely they will suggest the BCP to help and some use that as an indicator for endo if the pain subsides some but not everyone has the same symptoms and some still have pain or more pain on the pill. Ultrasound is your first step. I would push that if he doesn't suggest it. Make sure you talk about the size of those blood clots and the pain etc. I am hoping your doctor doesn't say that is normal. Some do so I am hoping yours is different.
