Endometrosis and Andomyosis

Hello All,
I know that this an Ovarian Cancer site but all of you have been so helpful with everything... I have posted here a few times trying to get information... Well I went to the doctor again last week and he says that I have Endometriosis and Andomyosis... I am scheduled for surgery on the 19th for a Laparoscopic and Hystoscopy to hopefully laser the Endo out and then he is going to go vaginal and cut into my Uterus to cut out the Andomyosis... He told me that he would not know for two weeks if he will have to go back in a remove my uterus... He told me the size of my uterus was very enlarged... Has anyone had this done..? Has anyone had this done and have it come back with Cancer..? He had done the Biopsy and that came back with no cancer... My fear is that he is going to open my up and not like the looks of things and take the Uterus out then... I am scared to death... As I have mentioned before all of this has happened in the last couple of months with extreme pain on the right side... I am now nauseas all of the time... He has been taking Norco which total kicks my but...

I just read your post. I am having the same issues with adenmyosis (sp?). I'm going in a few hours to the gyno/onco to see what the heck is going on.  I completey feel your pain and want some answers.  I also have cysts so we'll see how it all ties in.  Good luck and hope your surgery went well.  Post when you are able.  God Bless.  Lilly

It is crazy what we are going through. It is nice to know that we have the same issues. I have been having pain for a few years and I had have my 3rd lap and hysto last week ( she did a DNC, as well, not sure if this will help with the bleeding yet; have to wait 2 more weeks) I kept on thinking it was Endo but she states that she doesn't see anything. The past few months have been getting more severe pain. She mentioned this disease (?) and I didn't know anything about it. I was such a nervous wreck this past surgery because I didn't know what she would find. I told her if she found cancer just to take it out right then and there. She thought I was crazy. I love my OB very much and trust her. She has been with me for a long time, delivered my children. She wants me to get the hysterectomy done because of the "quality of life" but it is so final. I might want more kids (maybe) but I can't bare the pain. I have had a lot of womanly problems (ruputured cysts, ovary removed, bleeding disorder etc.) I am so glad that I am not "cracking up" , I feel that my husband thinks I am crazy ( I even think that I am crazy) Good luck to all those woman who have the surgery. God bless you all ( I think my vicodins are kicking in)
I do have a general question, it is getting worse as time goes on for everyone with this disease/disorder?

i'm going through somethings myself, i've had pain on my right side and the pain would never leave for years. i had the lap surgery in 2000 and when i woke up they said they found i had endo. so after teh sugery i felt great. i had my 3rd child in 2004. and had my tubes tied. i wanted to still be on teh pill due to my periods were always messed up well i was never off my period. i was spotting or on my period. i was feeling crazy! i starting to have this sharp pain on my right side again and having non stop periods, so i called the dr and was seen they drew some blood to see if i was low on iron, and it was normel? i was surprised and happy at the same time. the odered me to see a obgyn and get a ultrasound done too see what was going wrong! well my overies looked good, my utries was soft like bread dough and she did a pap on me and i flet like i was going to die i was in so much pain. she said the one way to help this is to be on birth control 24/7 which i have been and it wasn't working. she said the only thing that would work is to hav my utrues removed and i would feel a whole lot better?! she said i had ANENOMYOSIS? i googledit and it was all my sysems i was feeling and having.i go back in this coming monday to talk about everythign talk about all the blood test theyran and i believe set up for surgery

I saved myself alot of future troubles but wouldn't konw it til now.  I went in Jan 09 to gyn because of a positive pregnancy test.  Which was later said it was a false positive.  While doing an ultrasound my doctor noticed a cyst on rt ovary, after a few weeks of watching and some huge complaining from me cause of pain during sex she decided to remove the ovary.  Well I was like okay since I'm done with having children just take my uterus, I don't want it and I certainly won't miss my periods ( which weren't too bad).  So she said okay.  I had my surgery done on the 14th of this month and got biopsy results today.  Guess what?  I had multiple cysts on the same ovary & on/in my tubes plus I had andomyosis.  I just know one thing I had experienced on and off pain during sex for many years but it wasn't like it lasted years at a time so I just somehow got through it, this past time it wasn't getting better and it was affecting my marriage.  I'm only 30yrs old but I myself feel very good about the decision I made, especially since I don't have to worry about having future surgeries.  I still have my left ovary for hormones and I feel good so far.
