Has anyone watched Mystery Diagnosis?

"The Girl Who was Covered in Bumps"? The first part it is about Sciatic Endometriosis, it's very interesting. It's on Discovery Health. I have had these symptoms for years but recently it's been getting worse. How much physical therapy do you have to do before the insurance company will pay for the MRI it takes to diagnosis this Disaese?

Please tell us who your doctor was that finally diagnosed you?  We have been to so many doctors and I didn't get to see the episode but my co-worker told me about it and after much reading and research, I really believe this could be my daughters problem.  We are scheduled for Neurologist next week.  She had an emg which showed sural nerve problems.  It was not responding to the test.  Diagnosis was possible polyneuropathy.  Funny it only occurs while menstration.  She has had a MRI and CT scan also but no answers.  My daughter had laparoscopy Tuesday but there were no signs of endometriosis in that area.  Her gyno said it wasn't endometriosis but from what I have read,  it can be present in the extremities without being present in the female organs.  I can't get the doctors to see this,  I need a specialist that will know where and what to look for.  Please direct me,  I am willing to travel for my daughters health.  She is only 16 and can't attend school regularly..currently on homebound status due to the amount of days missed and how far behind she has fallen.. We need answers and can't seem to find anyone that can figure it out.  After 5 months and many test,  we have NO answers.  We are growing desperate and completely let down that we can't get to the bottom of it.  Its my baby and I am suppose to keep her safe but I can't get anyone to hear my cries.

Hey Tatemate,
I did see the episode you are talking about!  It was very informative as I think I may have the same thing.  I would have never thought it was an actual medical condition.  It was a relief to know that it wasn't something wierd happening just to my body but it is real and it makes sense!  Now I feel better about trying to explain it to my doctor.  I hope all goes well with you!
God Bless!

Dear Tatemate99,
I watched the very same episode and have had endo too. I wonder if it is possible that this is what we have? I had a Hysterectomy back in Dec.'99 and they took everything throug these small incsisions, but left my Cervix. I even had my uteris attached to my colon and that scares me for I think they should have opened me up to make sure that they got it all. I am scared to death now. How @ u?
Where ru going to get urs checked? I don't know who to see. I would guess a NL or NS...Do u think an Ortho could do it? I sure won't make that trip tomorrow if that is the case. I sure hope u get urs in check and I will check back w/u. I am on the hunt now to get relief and so do u...ok...don't give up...we will get there. Take care and always GOD BLESS... Karen
